Photography Locations | Part 2

As we know phtoography locations are pretty important! Whether it’s outdoors with a beautiful backdrops of plants or inside a studio with blank white walls & giant windows, we need to nail down the perfect spot for you.

Some photographers have their own studios, some have spots they frequent, like downtown, local parks, etc. Some photographers will come to your home or travel with you on vacation. If you have an idea of what type of surroundings you’re wanting in your photos, that’s usually enough for the photographer to guide you to a great location.

~Different Locations Tell Different Stories~

Here is a guide to help tell yours!

Baskett Slough | Dallas, oregon

This is one of my favorite places! Not just for client sessions, but to take my family to walk around & see the views, wildlife, & it’s a great drive from Jefferson. Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge has so much to see! My favorite time to go is in the evening so you can see the sun setting & get a taste of that spectacular golden hour.

Beverly Beach | Newport, Oregon

Oregonians love us some Oregon beaches!

My go to spot on the coast is Beverly Beach in Newport. It’s gorgeous, right off Highway 101, & so open it is usually pretty easy to get some photos without a bunch of other people in them!

The water is still freezing, but if you plan a summer beach day, the sun usually warms you up enough that you can dip a toe in the water lol!

Ankeny Hill Nature Center | Jefferson, Oregon

This cute little nature center is pretty perfect for families. It is part of the Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge, but it’s right off the road and super easy to get to. The Ankeny Hill Nature Center has so many native plants, a short trail, amazing views, & a place for kids to use their imagination with a natural wooded playground!

Jordan Covered Bridge | Stayton, Oregon

The Jordan Covered Bridge is one of the coolest places! It is located in Stayton’s Pioneer Park, where they have a playground with old school merry-go-round, a wooded area with trails, & obviously this picturesque covered bridge over the creek!

The Gray Lab | Corvallis, Oregon

If you’re south of Salem & don’t want to drive all the way there for a studio session, The Gray Lab has another location in Corvallis!

Natural light from the big front windows, different props, couches, backdrops, & all the good stuff. This is a great place if your in the area already!

This is just a few to give you an idea. I have more, so be on the lookout for Photography Locations Part 3! If you haven’t seen Photography Locations Part 1, make sure you check it out!

As always, if you have a spot in mind, let me know! I love to explore new places & add them to my list. If there was one on here that you didn’t see, send me some screen shots from my portfolio & I’ll let you know where it is so we can meet up & get so awesome images of you & yours!

I can’t wait to hear from you!

With all the love,

Jenn
